FLOKSER | HPE SIMPLIVITY – Business Continuity / DATACENTER Consolidation Project
ITserv Technology has implemented a project that will solve the capacity, performance and backup problems experienced in the existing infrastructure of the Flokser factory, which exports artificial leather to more than 40 countries and is one of the largest 500 industrial enterprises in Turkey. As part of the project, ITserv Technology eliminated existing problems by positioning HPE Simplivity devices with its Hyper Converged solution.
In this way, it was been aimed by ITserv Technology to back up SAP systems and other systems that last more than 24 hours, eliminating performance problems and capacity-related deficiencies that occur during backup. With very high deduplication / compression ratios on the same virtualization layer as HPE Simplivity, the backup process was completed in less than 1 minute. All backups received were also placed in the DR environment (Cloud4Next Data Center) by ITserv Technology and sent to Simplivity devices within the same RPO range.
After the project, the Flokser had a compression / deduplication ratio of 1 to 28. The 720 TB data took up only 25 TB of disk space. The full back-up time, which lasted 20 hours, was reduced to 15 minutes. A full SAP backup taken 1 time a day began to be taken in just 15 seconds every hour. SAP month closing, which lasted 8 hours, was reduced to 1 hour. The running time of accounting reports, which lasted 45 minutes, was reduced to 7 minutes. Any backup can be opened in 1 minute and 15 seconds, whether local or Disaster site. After the project, there is also no backup software and software for the Disaster Site. Cluster servers were cancelled, providing both license cost and ease of use.
Flokser, implemented together Hyper Converged System project with ITserv Technology received the “Best Data Infrastructure Project of the Year” award at IDC’s Turkey Manufacturing Technology Awards event and “Digital Transformation Project of the Year” award in IT News Technology Captains.
