Robert College – HPE SIMPLIVITY / HPE ARUBA DATACENTER Consolidation Project with ITserv Technology
As of 2019, Robert College which changed its infrastructure by undergoing a major transformation including the server architecture, data storage architecture platforms, and wired and wireless network infrastructures as converged architecture, started a project with ITserv Technology for a more compact data center architecture to meet technological and business needs. The advantages of this investment were once again experienced in real life in the online education process in the Covid-19 period.
As part of the project, 2 HPE C7000, 4 HPE 3PAR 7200c, and Switch / Access Point infrastructure used in the current structure of Robert College were replaced by ITserv Technology. The existing server/storage infrastructure was replaced with HPE Simplivity, a Hyper-Converged solution merged with only 6U (3 x-Large Simplivity) in the Cabinet. Electricity, air conditioning, performance, and space gain targets found in the initial kick-off steps of the project were met and there were no interruptions during the re-construction of these processes. After the closure of the project, a 7×24 monitoring and support process was started with ITOC, the system infrastructure and network monitoring software developed by ITserv Technology.
After the implementation of the project, Robert College achieved the ease of virtualization platform management and backup, achieving a minimum response time in the event of any failure. HPE solutions provided 1:54.4 deduplication; 1;1.4 compression; 1: 78.2 efficiency; 3.9 PB local backup; 98.7% physical space and 51,98 TB savings. Reduced the backup time to 2 seconds.
Offering a 360° solution to Robert College, which also wants to increase service quality and capacity on the network technologies side, ITserv Technology proposed HPE simplicity and HPE StoreOnce technologies as a solution for server, data storage systems, and backup infrastructure that are in question for consolidation, including System room physical architectural renovations. In the continuation, demo work was carried out on live system workloads and the technical acceptance of HPE SimpliVity HCI technology was achieved and the project was realized. In addition to server sites, ITserv Technology has also positioned Aruba solutions for the wired and wireless network platform where competing manufacturer infrastructure works, resulting in significant improvements and performance gains in the overall network performance and security criteria. Server services running on related hardware within the scope of the project, etc. at the basic components level, a large-scale Transition Project was designed, and general information systems infrastructure improvement was realized.
